John Milton and I briefly crossed paths way back in the early eighties, or was it even late seventies? I was working with Mike Stock at my studio on the East India Docks (Bumpersound) and Mike's brother Mark and John Milton came in one day to record "1-9 for a lady breaker" which paid homage to the CB boom at that time. The record and a later remake form a very early part of the SAW story and meanwhile John continues as a versatile and successful writer. There is more at John's site, so please visit when you can. Christmas again! So soon?

I thought the Autumn was busy, but the last month and next couple find us very fully occupied, stretched even. There have been any number of projects in progress.

This year has been great, with so many diverse jobs and lots of laughs in amongst some quite serious audio crunching. Yazz's album “This Is Love” was great - see the pic and info to the right of this column. Also you can go to Yazz's new website  http://yazzmusic.co.uk  Don't miss the special and FREE Christmas download of 'Angels'.

My dear friend Hazell Dean visited in October to work on some material for Energise Records. There are remixes in the pipeline and more songs to do in the new year.

Charlie Landsborough has an album in progress, with a very tight deadline, so that's currently taking centre-stage, but there is bhangra - with Sukhpal Sukh and others there are relaxation mood instrumentals, there are voice-overs. A few Christmas specials - It's all in the daily mill!

Take a moment to visit here: www.somebodysmusic.com This is John Milton's site, also see the info on the left.

Alan Fullard is due here in february for a new album - I'll look forward especially to that

Seasonal greetings to Rog and Ad, Val, Yazz, Rio, Sukh Uppal and Sheikh, Barry and John Lee, Alan F and Alan M. Sean Murray, Tony Seaman (who I have known for at least 100 years) Mel and co. Extra special shout to Roger Becket - one of my oldest and dearest friends.

Whorever you are and wherever you are, take care, have a safe and peaceful Christmas and enjoy life

Oh, and go and read this paper www.newsoftheworldonline.eu

Yazz made charts and headlines everywhere at the end of the eighties with her first Album ‘Wanted’ which included the iconic dance anthem “The Only Way Is Up”. She has been continuing her music career ever since and was looking to record her 6th album. A mutual friend introduced us which led to a collaboration here in the Spanish sunshine.

Following on from her first Christian contemporary album “Running Back To You”, this new work continues to express her deep message of devotion and praise and also incorporates links with Yazz’s Jamaican roots visiting many of the musical styles that have influenced her writing and performance over the years. There’s a kaleidoscope of musical genres here from reggae to latin, jazz to gospel and funk to soulful ballad -  all infused within her own highly distinctive vocal arrangements.

I am pleased to say that the album is now complete and has been a delight to make. It has been a rollercoaster ride, technically demanding, with complex structures and oh, so many audio tracks to mix. It has been emotional at times and hilarious - as making an album should be and it has left me after nine weeks, quite breathless!

I’d like to wish Yazz and her crew of lovely people, the very best of luck as this project moves forward to duplication and release. Look out for it in all the best places soon. Don't forget the album is called "This is Love"
